Weeks of billboards and countdowns led to this: Taylor Swift confirms ‘Toy Story 5’ song
She was five years old the first time she watched 'Toy Story'. Twenty years later, Disney called. She wrote the song the same night she saw the film.
Bonnie’s toys are back on a brand-new adventure, facing the challenges of a world full of screens. With old favourites and quirky newcomers, ‘Toy Story 5’ promises laughs, heart in addition to a digital-age twist.

According to ‘Variety’, the story picks up where ‘Toy Story 4’ left off, with Woody navigating life outside Bonnie’s toy chest. But this time, the gang faces a modern challenge: what is a toy’s purpose in a world full of screens and gadgets?
Bonnie’s attention has shifted to a high-tech frog-themed tablet named Lilypad, voiced by Greta Lee, setting up the central conflict.
The movie doesn’t villainise technology outright. Instead, it turns the story into an existential journey for toys wondering if they’re still needed in the digital age.
Fans will notice some changes in their favorite cowboy. Woody is sporting a tiny bald spot and a poncho. Yes, even animated heroes age!
But fear not: Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are back to lend their voices to Woody and Buzz, with Joan Cusack returning as Jessie.
The familiar faces Forky, Slinky Dog, Hamm, Trixie, and even an army of Buzz Lightyears team up to help Bonnie rediscover the joy of playing with real toys.
‘Toy Story 5’ is also introducing a host of quirky new characters. There’s Atlas, a cheerful GPS hippo voiced by Craig Robinson; Snappy, a hyper camera toy voiced by Shelby Rabara; and Smarty Pants, a toilet-training tech toy voiced by Conan O’Brien.
The film is helmed by Andrew Stanton, the visionary behind ‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘WALL-E’, with Kenna Harris co-directing. Stanton has hinted that this sequel isn’t your usual good-versus-evil tale.
